How We Can Help

Update- I have been asked about Paypal. If you would like, you can send money by Paypal to my email address below. The funds will sit safely there until we are ready to visit Mama Kong! :)

I have been thinking about this, and this is what I would like to do to get started raising some funds for Mama Kong and her family. I have an 18 inch pearl necklace that we bought from the Pearl Market in China. For everyone who posts a comment or sends me an email saying that they would like to contribute to Mama Kong and her family, I will put your name in a box. It can be any amount that you feel you want to give. Every cent is appreciated, no matter how large or small. It is absolutely the thought and prayer that counts here! We will pick a name out of the box on Sunday, October 14, and I will be sure to announce the name that day. Please tell anyone that you know about this- the more the merrier!
Our email address is gksmith@windstream.net if you would like to send an email rather than leave a comment here.
Thank you for helping!

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48

Oh my goodness!! I love this!!! I just watched the documentary and then wanted to find out more about this amazing woman...did a google search..and found your blog! :) We are in the process of adopting a darling almost 5 year old girl from Shanxi, with a facial deformity. I was very interested in what I was watching.

I would SOOO love to give some to help this incredible woman and her husband!! How do I donate??!!

Also, we adopted our almost 7 year old from Hubei, China, four years ago. I see you have a darling there. :)

Yay! So excited!!!

I can't wait to see how God takes a simple pearl necklace and uses it to bless a dear precious woman in China who has blessed so many of the "least of these". Money to follow : )

I just posted this on two adoption groups that I belong to. We had been circulating the video of Mama Kong recently. I know many from our Shanxi yahoo group had been asking how to support Mama Kong. What an inspiration she is. Thank you for putting this together!

May I ask how you learned about this video? I have posted links on various Yahoo groups, Rumor Queen and my blog. If you found this video through one of the these means, could I please thank you completely for taking this further than I was able to. I have been trying to figure out a way to directly help Mama Kong, but wasn't able to make this a reality. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU for doing what I wasn't able to do. I intend to make a donation, and I would love to know if there is anything else I can do to help you with this. My heart is filled knowing that this dear woman is going to know how she has touched so many people around the world and that she will hopefully be in a better financial position too. Thank you and God bless.

New to this blog, but...well, words really can't express the range of emotions. We have two daughters from China, both with special needs, our newest daughter from a region that looked just like this. She really did suffer under the system in a rural state run orphanage with a large number of special needs children, for 2 1/2 years in a remote area like in this video (it made me feel like I was back there). Life is hard for these people, in a myriad of ways we just do not completely understand. These children are so precious and we intend to give to help this woman and will absolutely be praying. It is amazing she has been allowed to continue this, by God's grace and power in a place where there can seem to be little hope for these children. If more people could just see the beauty, love and life in these children as Mama Kong does! Thank you for sharing.
